Living The Dream

Retirement living is fantastic, and for all who ask, based on 2015 experiences there is absolutely nothing not to like.  I particularly love the celebratory sound of the Spanish word - "jubilación" - for retirement and it is what we intend to do with this new stage of our lives.  No surprise it involves lots of travel!!

We leave 06 December for Sydney, Australia and will spend 2.5 months exploring the coastlines and wineries of the states of NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.  For the most part we will be travelling in a small camper van. The last time we had the luxury of an extended trip was 32 years ago when we bicycled camped our way around Europe.  This camper van is going to feel downright luxurious compared to 6 months of tenting!  Suffice to say my days of sleeping on the ground are long gone.

After Australia we are off to SE Asia with plans to visit Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.  All we know for sure is we have a return ticket departing Bangkok on 28 April.  It's going to be like the old days of travelling without much of a plan and I am sure there is a great adventure to be had.
